I'm Paxton Wilder.
Twenty-two-year-old, five-time X Games medalist.
And I have more tattoos than scars.
I've never seen a stunt I couldn't pull off--
Or a girl I can't get off.
Until she walks in.
My new tutor is sexy, smart, more stubborn than I am, and one hundred percent off limits.
That's right--the only rule this semester is Don't Touch the Tutor.
For the first time in my life, I want someone I can't have.
She's the girl who obeys every rule.
I'm the guy who breaks them.
Our biggest risk is falling for each other,
But I live for risk...
A must read for 2016. I was hooked from the very beginning with non-stop action, mystery, and a swoon-worthy, tattooed, bad boy who’s into all things extreme. I could not put this book down, I read it everywhere. In car line waiting to pick up kids at school, work, and even to pick up dinner because I couldn’t put it down long enough to make anything. It’s that good.
Addicting, sexy, captivating, adventurous, unique, and so much suspense you’ll be on the edge of your seat. It’s also unlike any book I’ve read before. The storyline will draw you in, but the characters are what solidifies your need to turn page after page. I cannot wait to read more of this series. Paxton Wilder is my new favorite book boyfriend!
“Are you ready for an adventure?”
Paxton Wilder is utterly swoon-worthy! His smile can drop panties by the dozen as does his charisma and daredevil nature. He lives for the next great stunt along with his group, The Renegades. They are on a nine-month adventure where they’ll attend college on a ship, witness the world at every port while performing stunts that most not even dare to think about let alone execute, and document the whole thing.
He was every fantasy. Every bad boy I’d been warned against. Every athlete I’d ever admired. Every prom king and every outlaw at the same time. He was the untouchable, the answer to every love letter I’d never gotten, and the only cure for the ache that was steadily growing, unfurling in my stomach. And for some reason I’d never understand, Paxton Wilder was looking at me like I was dessert.
The Original Renegades (who I hope all get their own books) is comprised of Wilder (Paxton), Penna (Penelope), Nova (Landon), and Nitro (Nick) who’ve all been friends for years. They have a YouTube channel where they document all their crazy stunts and have a huge, crazy following. I swear it felt like the entire ship of students were there because of them.
While filming the documentary, Paxton must keep his grades up or his father will pull the plug on the whole operation. It’s not only Paxton’s life on the line, though, The Renegades are counting on him, and so is the entire crew who will lose their jobs if he lets his grades slip. That’s where Leah Baxter comes into the picture.
Leah is finally coming out of her two-year isolation from a horrific accident that she’s still not over yet. Her best friend, Rachel, was supposed to come along but got sick and will not be able to join her until the second semester. Leah is not willing to let life hold her back any longer and goes without her rock for the last two years. What Leah wasn’t expecting was the moment she laid eyes on the student she was supposed to tutor was to be instantly attracted to him. She can’t let anything affect her scholarship for this trip no matter what she’s feeling for the gorgeous student she’s going to be around during almost all of her spare time.
“The best part isn’t the end. It’s what happens in between.”
You can feel Leah and Paxton’s chemistry sizzling off the pages and how after each page they’ve fallen just a little bit more for each other. Paxton shows her a side of himself no one has seen before. He’s not just the Wilder persona but a sweet, charming guy who’s falling for Leah just as fast as she’s falling for him.
How could I defend myself against him? Steel my heart when he was everything I never knew I’d needed?
I absolutely LOVED this story! Every single thing about it was PERFECT from the unique story line to the amazing characters who I couldn’t get enough of. I can’t recommend this book enough. I want everyone to read it and love it as much as I did. It makes me want to go on a Rebecca Yarros book binge read.
